Andy is working on a number of things at the moment, and a section in "What We Might Be Missing" is one of them.

Mr. Coleman has a brilliant stack of footage thus far, including a couple of tasty slams. These two gems have driven him away from skating Crowd Barriers and quick-footed gap lines!

A Third Foot in Southsea - Edit online now!

A Third Foot in Southsea

The weekend of the 28th and 29th of January 2012 saw a handful of the A Third Foot Skateboards team take a cheeky trip down to Southsea.

The two days consisted of filming at a few of Southsea's finest skateparks including the mysterious Unit 19.

Here are a few photographs to wet your appetite, the video edit will be online very soon!

We were greeted to a wet and cold Haselmere, but that didn't stop us. Operation sweep and dry was in full effect.

Our filming mission today went down a treat. An entire day of spot hunting, skatepark chilling and street cruising around Bath was a well received idea, especially from Ryan.

Ryan Chamberlain is on serious top form as of late and has been adding fresh approaches to some familiar spots with his good trick selection and eye for aesthetically pleasing locations, not to mention his knack for snooping out previously unseen spots!

2011 has been very good to us, we've managed to get a great deal done and we welcome 2012 with open arms.

To celebrate the New Year, we thought that it would be nice to dig out 5 of our favourite edits that we've put together over the past year and share them with you one more time!

1. Welcome to Bangkok

First off, this edit has one of our favourite opening lines that we've filmed. The group line took a long time to choreograph, but was definitely worth it.
The dark and desaturated tone of the edit is a reminder that we should always make the most of every opportunity, even if it seems like the weather and light is completely agains us.

2. Exeter Homies

The title says it all. Our Exeter Homies are amazing, just watch and learn.

3. Emersons Green Summer Sessions

Emersons Green Skatepark is a tribute to Jamie Clapp, who sadly passed away in 2007. Jamie was an extremely talented skateboarder and is sorely missed by everyone who knew him.
The skatepark has seen a great deal of use since it's completion, and here are some of the best moments from the Summer of 2011.

4. Delirious

The reason why Delirious is in this top 5 is simple, the skateboarders and the locations. From the aged rough paving slabs to the modern smooth benches, this edit really exposes the aesthetics and personality of Bristol.

5. Extension Of Self

What a better way to sum up 2011 than this. Extension Of Self serves as a promo and a warm up to our next DVD offering, which is due to drop towards the end of 2012. Keep your eyes peeled for some teaser material over the coming months for the next release, but for the time being, enjoy E.O.S!

Extension Of Self

"Extension Of Self" is the result of a year's worth of determination and hard work.

After the release of "Prism" in 2010, we made it our goal to produce a 'full-length' online video for the end of Summer 2011. The idea of a full feature soon morphed into a short film, making it more accessible for everyone to view.

With this project now live, we now plan to solidly work hard on the next physical production, scheduled for release late 2012.

We spent the first Sunday of the month at the beautiful Midsomer Norton park and then on to our personal favourite, Wells.

A Weekend at Dorchester 2011

So, as you may know, last weekend we visited the humble area of Dorchester for a Skateboarding filled 48 Hours.

We hit up the brilliant skatepark that was constructed by Maverick, the indoor offering in Weymouth, Billy's Bath Gap and a very rough street spot!

A Weekend at Dorchester is back! (part 2)

After a temperamental first day in the town of Dorchester, we have experienced a much better second day.

The weather has been much drier and brighter, something that all four of us are grateful for!

Saturday evening/Sunday morning compulsory poisoning session.

The Cerne Abbas Giant participated in our family portrait!

Ryan didn't put this down, but it still looks reeeeaaal nice. Failed Front Shuvit.

A Weekend at Dorchester is back!

So, our annual lads weekend to Dorchester is well underway.

We've been plagued with bad weather today and have been dodging it constantly.... but we have been lucky enough to catch a few rays of sunshine, which we have made the absolute most of.

Leon battles through the wet and muggy weather, only to wreck his foot later on in the day. Man down.

Always a hype when you're stuck on a train for 2 hours. 2 very long hours...

Ryan was feeling the whole chilled out, get to know each other vibe!

Tomorrow we're headed out on a street mission for the edit, and possibly a few tricks for the next big DVD project.

Fingers crossed that the weather holds!

A Newbury Nightmare

The Shiner Big Push - The Final Three Days

Our final Big Push was a long and hard one. We had 2 and a half working Skateboarders as Manhead had taken a serious slam, James had tweaked his ankle really badly and Jed needed to constantly wear a leg brace in order to skate properly.

We chose to hit up Manchester, Leeds, Sheffield and Nottingham for the end party/meet up session.

The Shiner Big Push - The Third day

Our third day on the Big Push was very, very productive. We hit up Newcastle and the surrounding areas to bag up some footage at the well known wasteland spot, where I was able to try out my new filming board and everyone was able to get a few lines and street dog tricks for the edit.

Jed was on top form today. STREET JED!

The Shiner Big Push - The Second day

Today we completed a good few challenges again, filmed a lot of really good footage and had a brilliant Nando's to end the day.

Of course, every action has an equal and opposite reaction. The bad news is that Ben Raemers is sadly not going to be joining us on the trip, I lost my filming board which made me almost cry and Jed had a pretty mad slam.

Anyway, enough shit talking, look at some pics below.

Will Appleby

All of us in skateboarding are at a loss today. The news of Will's disappearance shocked and worried all of the people that knew him, most of all his family and close friends. Will was a keen skateboarder who had an eye for film, he could often be found wielding the classic staple video camera in skateboard videography, the VX1000.

Film is a funny thing really, it captures moments that will never happen again, each second of these moving images encapsulates something special, almost magical. Will shared these experiences with all of us, and even though some of us only knew Will for only a little more than a few seconds of our lives, that doesn't make them any less special.

Our thoughts go out to Will's family and friends and we hope that everyone pulls together and stays strong through these tough times.

Roll Forever.

Jason Lewer's Fabric Skateboards Section

Over the past few months Jason and I have been hard at work, filming non stop for his 'welcome' edit for Fabric Skateboards.

What was initially just a few clips soon snowballed into a full section featuring a lot of well known Bristol landmarks and even a couple of well known Milton Keynes street spots.

The soundtrack to the edit was kindly supplied by the musicians that go by the name of 'The Shaws', hit those guys up if you like what you hear!

Venture UK at the Warehouse

Here's a quick little edit I've put together for Venture Trucks UK featuring Nicky Howells, Dave Snaddon and Dan Wileman.

This footage was shot quite a while ago during the snowy, cold winter that we experienced earlier on this year. I'm glad that the footage has finally surfaced because Snaddon's frontside flip is just toooooooo good to turn down!

Drawn music is backed by the Redlight collective hugely, you can find a lot of their audio work on their website and on our skateboard DVD Prism, where they provided a lot of material and even wrote a few tracks especially for the video.

This edit below has been sat on my harddrive for a few months now, gathering digital dust. Pete Adams asked me if I would like to put a little something together for one of his friend's skate video nights in April, and this was what I came up with.

The reason why it's taken me 2 months to upload it is because I didn't actually want it to go online as I thought it had 'too much' good skating in it. I'm putting together an online skate video this year (which some of you may be aware of) and some of the footage in this edit was going to be kept secret until it dropped.....ah fuck it!

Fabric Skateboards

Fabric has been in the works for a while now, kept on the down-low for quite some time. However, today saw the public launch of the new, UK based skateboard company.

Jason Lewer, one of my favourite skateboarders, and a very good friend is now riding for Fabric. Something that I'm sure everyone is pleased about. We've been filming a good bunch of footage for Fabric's web edits and for their DVD release.... which I'm guessing won't be for some time yet.

Emersons Green Skatepark Open Day

Saturday 16th April saw the official opening of the Jamie Clapp Memorial Skatepark, and what a brilliant day it was.

The skatepark received a warm welcome by hundreds of people, ready and waiting to see what the park could offer.

The day began with an unveiling of the plaque for Jamie, serving as a fitting tribute to his life, along with a second plaque with all of the names of everyone who was involved in this very special project. Gordon Clapp, Jamie's father also planted a tree in Jamie's memory, which can be located beside the hip.

The jam kicked off in style, as Maverick open days always do. John Fisher, Jason Lewer and Chris Oliver definitely showed the people how it's done.

The Jamie Clapp Memorial Skatepark

After 3 long years of working on this project, it's finally here.

I was part of the Jamie Clapp Memorial Skatepark committee alongside a strong group of friends that I've known for almost half my lifetime.

Jamie Clapp was one of my closest friends, and passed away during a light aircraft accident in 2007 at the tragic age of 13. Jamie was an extremely talented skateboarder and was loved by everyone that knew him, and this skatepark serves as a fitting tribute to the life of Jamie.

Maverick Industries constructed the park, and we owe them huge thanks for making such a brilliant park for everyone to enjoy.

Please take the time to watch the short edit that I've put together of the first official skate session at the park. Featuring Matt the Whale, Dan Lacey, Billy Lee-Kerr and Leon Clark.

Dan Wileman Venture UK Advert (In Progress)

I was recently asked by Shiner Distribution to produce another edit for Venture Trucks UK.

Basically, the deal is to film with Mr. Dan Wileman and produce a 1-2 Minute edit that best represent's Dan's raw skating and showcases some of Bristol's finest street spots.

The first filming mission was yesterday, we got a couple of tricks captured on High Definition video, but nothing to really tease you with! Stay tuned for some 'bloggage' on the progress of the edit over the next week or so...

Skateboard Café was filmed and edited by fellow Bristolian camera weilder, Rich Smith.
